Road Runners Club Kòrsou: 44 years of building a healthy and active Curaçao
For more than four decades, Road Runners Club Kòrsou (RRCK) has been the heart of Curaçao’s running community. The club brings people of all ages together through walking and running events that promote health, connection, and an active lifestyle. RRCK was founded in 1981 after the success of the first Schottegatloop in 1979, and has since grown into a vibrant community that continues to inspire runners across the island.
RRCK organizes annual races such as the Moddercross, Kareda Cerilio Maduro, and the popular end‑of‑year Breakfast Run. These events welcome beginners and experienced runners alike, creating a positive and inclusive space to enjoy Curaçao’s beautiful landscape.
With 44 years of experience, the club plays an important role in promoting fitness and wellbeing in Curaçao. RRCK’s mission supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well‑Being by encouraging movement, community participation, and long‑term healthy habits. Their activities also strengthen SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, helping build a socially connected and active society.
Membership gives access to club races, future training sessions, and community support that keeps runners motivated on their journey.
Road Runners Club Kòrsou continues to be a cornerstone of local sports culture, inspiring many to lace up their shoes and discover the joy of running on our island.
