Founded in 1955 as a marine research institute, Carmabi has grown into a leading non-profit organization dedicated to biodiversity and environmental stewardship. Today, Carmabi works across four pillars:
Through programs like the Water Program, Carmabi educates students about wastewater and its impact on coral reefs, supporting SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 14: Life Below Water. The foundation also manages national parks and conducts research to protect ecosystems, contributing to SDG 15: Life on Land and SDG 13: Climate Action.

Report any issues easily through Carmabi’s online contact form. Your reports help us keep our parks safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
For environmental concerns outside our parks, we kindly refer you to the Ministry of Nature (GMN).
🚨 Important Reminder: Carmabi often gets tagged in posts about wildlife in distress or environmental damage outside our parks. Please note that Carmabi only manages the parks under Carmabi’s care and is not the organization responsible for protecting all of Curaçao’s natural areas.
