DeliNova WaterProject – Clean Drinking Water for a Healthier Curaçao
Water is one of the most essential resources on earth. Since the human body is largely made of water, staying hydrated is an important part of maintaining overall well‑being. With that understanding, the DeliNova Water Project aims to make clean and safe drinking water more accessible to everyone in Curaçao.
The project provides free alkaline drinking water at Landhuis Zeelandia, offering the community a reliable place to fill their bottles with fresh water. This effort supports broader goals related to SDG 3 Good Health and Well‑being, SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, especially as more people shift toward refillable bottles and reduced plastic use.
The WaterProject converts tap water into alkaline drinking water through a specialized filtration and ionization process. Alkaline water has a pH higher than 7, which means it has a more basic composition than standard tap water.
Residents are welcome to visit Landhuis Zeelandia during opening hours to collect free alkaline water for their daily use.
Monday to Saturday: 07:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Alkaline water has gained popularity in various parts of the world, including Japan, where it has been used for decades as part of general wellness routines. Many people enjoy its smooth taste and prefer it for drinking or cooking. For some, alkaline water enhances the flavor of soups or broths, helping produce dishes with a clean and natural profile.
While preferences vary, the WaterProject makes it easy for the community to explore an alternative drinking water option.
The DeliNova WaterProject encourages healthier hydration habits, reduces reliance on single‑use plastic bottles, and supports a more sustainable lifestyle. By offering free water access, the project invites residents to stay hydrated, make environmentally conscious choices, and contribute to a cleaner Curaçao.
