D’Farm is helping Curaçao move toward food security by using smart farming technology that reduces water use, a crucial step for a dry island facing climate challenges (SDG 13: Climate Action). The initiative also prioritizes locally sourced materials to reduce its carbon footprint and strengthen the island’s self-reliance.

By creating jobs and supporting healthier eating habits, D’Farm contributes to a more inclusive and circular economy (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production). The farm currently employs several people and has received positive feedback from customers who notice fresher, better-tasting salads that last longer.

D’Farm shows how small-scale innovation can lead to big impact for people, the economy, and the environment.
