The Waste Characterization Study is complete, and the official report is now available. This study provides essential data on the types and quantities of waste generated on the island, creating a foundation for smarter waste management solutions.

The next phase uses this data for a feasibility study to identify the most effective waste processing options for Curaçao. These efforts aim to reduce landfill use, promote recycling, and create economic opportunities from waste—supporting SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
